Beech Mtn. Climbing Wall

This morning I went up the west side of Beech Mountain and back down along the south ridge. A short side trail leads to this precipitous drop off, where local climbers have bolted on some permanent anchor points. In the past I have only crept forward on my hands and knees to peer over the edge, but this morning I decided to take the trail leading around to the base of the climb and explore around a bit. It was neat. For a brief period of time I did a little rock climbing myself, but I don't think I ever would have made it up the face of this wall. I found myself wondering, would I have had the sense to realize this at the time?
