Fireworks or Pulsatilla ....

... this is the seed head of an Anemone (or Pasque flower) which I have a few of in the garden.

Whilst weeding, dead heading and having a long awaited tidy up in the garden yesterday, I came across this little beauty. I cut it off and popped it into a bit of water and placed it on the kitchen windowsill to admire for a few more days before it finally died off.

This morning, whilst again washing up, I just kept staring at its delicacy and decided, however it turned out, this was going to be my blip for today.

It has been placed on a small piece of mirror with the light of a torch passing through it, then turned 90 degrees to make it look like it's standing up.
