BBC@Edinburgh Festival

It’s not easy getting into a BBC show at the festival. First you have to apply for tickets in a ballot, then if you are lucky enough to be (sort of) allocated a ticket, you have to queue to get in - with no guarantee that you will.
Can’t recall what I applied for in the ballot but was allocated two maybe-tickets for Loose Ends. Met my friend Sally there and queued with the rest of the old folk (definitely the Radio4 profile).
Yes, we did get in - hoorah. And enjoyed the show. Clive Anderson is an old pro and perfectly unruffled by the goings on of the recording crew. His guest were Paul Merton, Gail Porter, Levi Roots and Anu Vaidyanathan. With music from Pictish Trail and Leila Navajo. All promoting their festival shows of course and a good combinatio n of chat and entertainment.
