Another view from Tobermory
We dropped off soup for lunch club and headed into Tobermory for a visit to the pharmacist who directed us to go straight to the surgery. (When phoning earlier the surgery receptionist suggested asking advice from the pharmacist, she had no doctor appointments left). John has an area of red looking skin after a tick bite 8-10 days ago, the concern is Lymes Disease. The pharmacist had phoned ahead, thank you Julie, the receptionist could now fit John in to see a doctor - three weeks of antibiotics. A friend has just gone through this, I doubt we would have moved this fast otherwise.
The doctor was excellent, his suggestion was take the Antibiotics to play safe, we may have caught it early. We are very fortunate to have this excellent service. Only earlier this morning my sister who lives in Herefordshire was sat on the phone waiting in a queue, apparently she was sent a form via text to complete whilst waiting. He husband is not a well man.
