Waking up to birdsong, then later the buzzing of the lawnmower and the whining of the edge trimmer...the sounds of summer! We have finally had summer this week and it has been glorious. I just hope that it lasts until the weekend when we watch the boys' cricket and tennis matches.

The local farmers have been busy - I love seeing the neat bales of hay all in a row, so mathematically placed and tidy.

We need to buy a new coffee machine and after much research and advice from friends I have decided to get the Nespresso as I have heard it is easy to operate and that the coffee is delicious. Sadly George Clooney does not come with the package!
