Botanics blipmeet

Marigolds, lacinto kale, cornflowers.

Being Third Tuesday, there was a blipmeet at the Botanics. @lovenature and I met at the East gate, and wandered around towards the gardener's cottage, then to Inverleith House for coffee. Stopped at the pond; baby moorhens and a young coot (coot in extra). Dry, sunny, very little wind .. a most pleasant morning. 

From there to Mansfield Traquair, which was open for viewing, then to Lyon & Turnbull to view the collections (silver, crystal, Weymss ware, a sword, dirks .. ) for the auction on the 16th. Fetched supper from Crombies on the way back by Broughton Market.
