Meet up with M

Yay.. Fletch was ok and the weather was about right to meet up with my lovely friend Flavia 13. 
A slow drive to Newby Bridge due to heavy traffic ( Fridays and holidays)  but I got there on the dot.   It was rather overcast but better for Fletch than yesterdays heat. 
We heard the toot of the steam train and poised ready to take some shots.  

We strolled up as far as Lakeside and crossed the surprisingly empty car park to go to the lake's edge  as I thought it would be good to take some photos of the steamers.  There wasnt a single one. .. Maybe they have a reduced service on 'change over day'  ie Friday is the day most self catering weeks start (apparently.)
  We made our back to The Swan and went in for a spot of lunch. It wasnt too busy and the service was friendly and quick. We opted for
the cheese platter as the sandwiches resembled doorsteps. 

It suddenly got quite busy about 1:15 so we stopped at the right time.
Always so good to see Flavia 13. We must try to meet up gain soon!
