Beach

After last night’s indulgence a quieter day finishing what decorating we can before we need to head back.  We made a fast trip into Newport to pick up some hinges for the kitchen cupboards so we could try the new doors we have bought. PY did a great job fitting them and they look fantastic. We will order more of the doors for our next trip.

What does AI say about my picture for today? “The picture is another of the beach at Ryde. The beach is known for its long stretch of golden sand, which provides stunning views across the Solent towards the mainland city of Portsmouth. On a clear day, visitors can see the iconic Spinnaker Tower rising up from the skyline, as well as the many boats and ships that pass through the busy shipping lanes. The beach itself is backed by a promenade lined with cafes, restaurants, and shops, and is easily accessible for the FastCat and Hovercraft.“

Why not come for a day out (maybe when the sun’s out as it was very windy).

We took the a 7:17pm train back to London. Although the original plan included lots of changes we found out the train was heading via Clapham Junction so it was easy enough to stay on the train and hop on a Raynes Park train from Clapham.

Home by about 9:30pm with a quick stop for milk and some dinner at the Co-op
