Pyramid completion service

There was a short church service to recognise all who'd been involved in the renovation of Jack Fuller's pyramid at Brightling.

After the service there was a glass of wine and an opportunity to see inside the pyramid (see extra). This firmly dispelled the myth that Jack Fuller was inside, sitting on a chair with a glass of wine in hand. He is actually buried beneath the pyramid.

In inscription on the wall reads:
“The boast of heraldry, the pomp of power,
And all that beauty, all that wealth e’er gave,
Await alike th’inevitable hour;
The paths of glory lead but to the grave.”
