Then picked up H how has not been well of late with unexplained weight loss, constant headaches and zero energy. Not good for a previously sporty 19 year old Now dropped ten kilos so getting really concerned despite the GPs complacency.
Kicked into professional mode and took him to my work to run a few tests to rule out and orbital, pituitary or brain tumours. Did have a real sinking feeling til I got these OCT pics which show his optic nerve to be normal. Beepity beep visual fields normal so gives the all clear on the visual pathway. Very good sign
Have written a rather strong email to GP to try and take him seriously rather than the current advice of eat better.
Fingers crossed he’s just a lazy b :)))


The photo is a cross section scan of the optic nerve entering the eye. 300 microns thick. The technology is phenomenal compared to when I first qualified with a torch and a pen and paper.
