Lily Beetle

I was just having a quick tidy up in the garden when I came across this impressive chap, I think he looks like he's carrying round his own hot water bottle ;-))
I didn't know what it was at first but when I managed to get an identification online it seems it is considered a real garden pest and recommended I should pick it off and destroy it. I didn't have the heart to squash it after it had supplied me with a blip, so live and let live :-))
