Chichen Itza

Wow the Mayan's were amazing! Our guide was so full of information and obvious admiration for the people of the Yucatan and was happy to share it with us. Very very early start allowed us to be the first people on site and meant photo opps with few people in the background. Disney+ has a documentary on the site which I will be watching when I get home.

From there we drove 45mins and had a Mayan Shaman blessing. We then had lunch and the kids swam in a Cenote (see extras) while I watched and provided the local mosquito's with their lunch!

A very long day, but worth it to avoid both the crowds and the heat.
