£2 bargain book

bought at Wemyss Bay last week ... published 1963 when some British city systems were still running such as Glasgow with 120 trolley buses .. only one other system in Scotland, Dundee had two buses from 1912-14 .. Edinburgh rejected a system after discussions in the 1950s, on the grounds of congestion in central city .. the electric powered silences and lack of fumes of the trolleys were not seen as benefits over the coming noise and fumes of diesel engines which 'swamped' central cities fron the 1960s .. and now...!!!
