Time for Tunnock's

I had to go to Uddingston today for work. We were right next to the Tunnocks Factory, where they make a whole range of lovely biscuits and sweet things that go nicely with a cup of tea.

I was tickled by the fact that the street the factory is on smells sweet and sugary. I wonder if the locals even notice it anymore.

The main street of Uddingston was nearby, and still has a local greengrocer, butcher, baker and a host of other little local shops, eateries and small businesses. It was lovely to see. Dumbarton used to have all that when there was still factories and local employment. To think we could still have a lovely high street like this one...
