Looking down...
...on Ramsden Reservoir.
Must be feeling better! Actually got round to putting the first two coats of paint on the two spice racks; just one more coat to do tomorrow. Also set up the video door bell and cameras that have been sitting in their box for almost a month. Just need MrM to help me put them in position sometime soon.
In the evening MrM drove us up to the car park for Ramsden Reservoir and we walked up the easy vehicle track past Riding Rood Reservoir as far as Yateholme Reservoir. Not far, but at times the walk up seemed like scaling Everest! We saw only a couple of dog walkers in the distance - surprised to see so few people on such a mild, still summers' evening. Though it was quite 'midgy' - perhaps the locals all avoid it in the evenings!
Tried making roasted cashews with garlic and herbs when we got back. Nice and crunchy, but not a patch on the shop-bought ones we sampled a while ago.
MrM did another Covid test this afternoon - still positive. Starting to seem as though this damn virus is making his trade stall at Whitby Folk Festival look doubtful. They're asking for two negative tests 24 hours apart [fair enough - he'll be stuck in a confined space with the other stall-holders, many of whom (to be realistic) are quite elderly.] I'm about 4 days behind MrM, so it's looking doubtful as whether I'll get to Whitby at all...
