Bestriding the Lion

It's an incongruous image: Charles alone or with his wife behind, either forms for me a mental conflict.  We saw this excellent ceramic work by Malcom Law in the MAKESouthWest gallery in Bovey Tracey today.  He is a clever artist, as can be seen on his website, and I found this work quite intriguing.  His explanation is in the Extra.

I regret to write that I'm no longer a monarchist: our whole system needs an overhaul and the monarchy is expensive.  But I hope that Charles does a bit of time before handing over to the younger generation for some serious reform.
