Quite a lovely day here at times with a lot of sunshine made even better by the wonderful performance of The Lionesses, fantastic! The photo was taken from the theatre terrace looking upstream towards the Tramway Bridge.
We went to see some friends in the next village in the afternoon and enjoyed their wonderful hospitality. Sitting in the garden until after 9pm and we even had a fly past by a microlight.
In fact it was their next door neighbour, who we had a chat to when he was loading up the microlight before heading off to the airfield for his flight. He did promise that he would fly over and give us a wave which he kindly did do.
He was a pilot for Virgin Airlines before retirement so still a keen flier.
We walked home in the dark, about a mile and a half, with Jayne leading the way with her phone torch and periodically calling out to check that I was still behind her, how sweet of her.
