A Happy Result

A final day of shooting hotel images. I wanted to capture images of the pool area with early morning light, before the shadows became too harsh, so I arrived prior to the sun on this relatively cloud-free morning. When the sun did finally peak above the horizon I was ready to get a backlit shot of the shower with the pool in the background. Unfortunately, I was too short to actually frame the shot as I had envisioned and was afraid that if I took the time to get my ladder, the sun would no longer be in the correct position. I held my breath, thrust my camera as high as I could reach and squeezed off a couple of shots. Luckily I caught the sun in a good spot and it only took a bit of post processing straightening to achieve this final result.
