The North Island Group

Very social day.    Had a zoom with 2 old friends.   Our neighbors across the bay  (Elyn and Pat) brought us a few groceries from Saltspring and then our end of the island gathered on our deck for drinks and nibbles late afternoon.   The most adults I’ve been around in one place for months.  The candied jalapeños, from Saltspring was the hit snack. :-)  Colelen brough macaroni balls and cheese.   all good.
 We have been so fortunate with this group for over 30 years….we’ve watched their kids grow up ( and some have their own kids..(Coleen and Steve are grandparents) )_ it’s a real neighborhood we don’t see that often but that we will sorely miss.  The extra is to show I was there (note: no walking stick!) …with the other neighbors I haven’t blipped already this summer…Wayne and Donna.  Donna brought flowers and peaches she grew in her garden on Saltspring, smoked salmon that Wayne caught , and wine.    They all do look after us.  :-)   We are grateful and this was perfect!
