Day 5 of the Fat Mum Slim June photo challenge and obviously it's no coincidence that it's also World Environment Day.

This is some peridotite, which sits on the shelf in the Student Support Unit at school (ie. the Trouble Room) and is a very loose link to today's theme. It is the predominant rock in the Earth's upper mantle and I've always loved how the olivine turns it so green.
