Piano recital …

….. ….. ….. by the Queenstown Wharf.

My Christchurch friend W. & I made our way into Queenstown this morning, visiting several interesting displays & shops, before having lunch on the Steamer Wharf and then heading home.

Today’s ‘Party’ turned into an address to the Wakatipu Reforestation Society, by the soon-to-be 90yo, about his life’s work, mostly in the botanical world. He’s been given a QSM as well as other accolades, during his incredible life. You would have thought that it was a 70yo addressing us! But then! a surprise birthday cake plus wine & nibbles arrived, and the birthday celebrations began.
It’s been quite a day!
