The last rose

from my neighbor's garden. 
In my garden on the front lawn I saw a dead opossum.. this one was not playing dead. It was half eaten by a coyote and I had the grim task to remove it and put it in the trash.... A gruesome sight and I like not to think about it. There are coyotes in all neighborhoods and I don't think they have predator, so what's there to do about it??? I don't want to harm them, but they should not take over the city. We also have mountain lions, and they are coming close to the city as well, we are building and encroaching into their territory. The wild West.
