Maidstone: Air Rage
More outrageous in large

Im the Destroyer
Im had been tipped off to the value of having a smashing time, so had booked half an hour destroying crockery and defunct electronics in a "rage room" in Maidstone, the Greek restaurant having been fully booked...
We headed to Maidstone in the morning, strolled along the Medway in the rain, had a poke around the town centre, and then got lunch at a sweet French café; our relaxing time was then up so we took ourselves to the rage rooms.
"Rage Out" was a strange place... Situated in the open ground floor of an old bank, it had been fitted out with free-standing chipboard rooms each containing a central butcher's block and a range of wrecking tools including crow bars, baseball bats, and hammers (large and small). We signed disclaimers, were kitted out in protective clothing (inc. helmets with visor and ear protectors), and were shown into our room after our chaperone had ensured that it was stocked with enough fresh 'smashables' and electrical items. The back wall had already accumulated quite a heap of wreckage (from previous sessions), and I then noticed that the ceiling of the space still had the ornate plasterwork typically found in old banks, which rather highlighted how far the building's use had changed.
I wearied after about 5 minutes, so mostly took photographs through the smeary acrylic and wire mesh protective screen as Imogen demonstrated that she was (un?)surprisingly adept with a sledge hammer. She then went on to stay with a friend in Kent while I just drove myself home listening to (more euphonic) Glass.
Others here (or right from Medway reflections)
