Caught in the Rain
I was perusing Blip and the sky opened and began to dump it's icey cold contents on the streets of Berlin. I thought, grab your camera and see what you can get. When I say dump, I mean dump, and this chap was totally unaffected. I got some great shots of umbrella clad couples, and under the bridge strollers, but my heart was won by the guy who didn't pick up his pace, but enjoyed what the heavens brought him.
So here it is, as I clicked safely from the safety of my awning, the stranger who inspired me and the rain that he enjoyed.
I have had an ache for the warmth of the sun. For that feeling of the sun washing over you and your skin growing warm. A summer cold has been lingering in my lungs for 10 days now and it is affecting my already fragile moods. But today, for some reason the rush of the rain, the crisp cool breeze in my face, and the lovely smell of the storm moved me. Contentment with whatever comes. That's the key isn't it? I guess that's not just a decision, but a discipline. I think I need to keep working that muscle.
Happy Friday Blippers, our first full day at our new address. It's lovely over here isn't it?
(For a great rain song, may I encourage Martin Sexton, Caught in the Rain or Marc Cohn, The Rainy Season)

It would be wrong not to utilize this forum to say today would have been Anne Franks 80th birthday. Children can be the most incredible gifts. Here's a little snip of perspective she gave that we all need...
