Had a lovely breakfast this morning with DM and DF before she went to get the bus to Oban. Went down to the museum to see Beyond the LBD. Really enjoyed it -very interesting. All my photos were rubbish though. Came back to the flat for lunch and then went over to the Circus Hub on the Meadows . Saw some skilled acrobats, one of whom also sang opera all the way through, and two of whom played cellos and occasionally became part of the acrobats. All a bit strange, particularly when accompanied with lots of drumming , stamping and running around pretending to be dogs. Next thing was an interesting talk at the book festival with Amy Liptrott and Karine Polwart(who sang a couple’ of beautiful sings) was a little spoilt by a rather self important and irritating interviewer. Stopped for a piece of pizza, and then up to the Festival Theatre for a reception and then The Threepenny Opera, . Though it would be a highlight but really didn’t like it and only lasted until the interval! The set was interesting but that wasn’t enough to make me stay!
