Buttery Buttercup
It has been another beautiful day today, it was lovely to spend another few hours catching some rays in the garden. My Mum invited my daughter and I over for lunch so it was another perfect opportunity to take some more photos of the gorgeous poppiesof various colours in her garden. The clematis and irises were beautiful too.
I was going to blip one of these but decided on this buttercup instead. There seems to be an abundance of buttercups everywhere, and this was taken in a field of them in front of Lanelay Hall, the old South Wales Fire Brigade Headquarters.
Buttercups always take me back to my childhood when we used to hold one up close beneath our chins. And if the yellow reflection was very clear, it meant you liked butter very much!! The funny things we used to do as children eh?!!
