Pool of Virkie

The weather was pretty dreich for most of the day but cleared up for a lovely early evening meander around the south end. We saw loads of goose barnacles in the low tide of the estuary and a juvenile migrant Greater Spotted Woodpecker in Toab. (Not necessarily good news as the bird will have travelled south for reasons of hunger; wishing it well).
