Skiddaw from Bassenthwaite Lake.

We had been over to West Cumbria as Clickychick was helping a firm with photography for their website.  On the way back we made a slight detour and spent a little time on the shores of Bassenthwaite.  The only lake in the lake district!  The "canoeists"  are actually paddleboarders.  They clearly didn't trust their ability to balance and sat crosslegged all the time they were in view.

When we got back I went to get the card out of the trail camera.  Yipeeeeeeeee!   There was a shot of a Red Squirrel wandering across the lawn and nuts have gone from the feeder.  At one time Squirrels were a daily sight in the garden.  I haven't blipped one since January 2021.  Now we are agog watching for the next visit (hopefully).
