Messing about on the canal.

Today, after a slow start we decided to drive to Hatton locks, we could have walked but Monty is not very active these days and 6 miles would have been too much for him.

After a nice leisurely walk watching the long boats going through the locks (21 in total) we sat on the bank and had a lovely picnic.

Back at phoebe we relaxed in the sunshine and I had a little snooze.

Tonight, out came the Weber and perfectly bbq’d ribeye steak accompanied by new potatoes, green beans, courgettes(from the garden) and peppercorn sauce and a lovely bottle of Shiraz Merlot.

Perfect day.
