Sausages!

Cathaber came across this box in the upper room of the Oxfam shop in which she works on Thursday afternoons, and was kind enough to escort me behind the scenes to blip it!
It's a slice of yesteryear, I reckon. Palethorpe's started up as a butchers in Birmingham in the 1850s, and grew to be the world's largest sausage producer (according to them) and a major supplier of canned meat products to the British Army in World War I. The gradual rise of supermarkets help spell its decline, and despite being bought by a major supermarket in about 1980 after which sausages were briefly marketed as Palethorpe's, the name seems to have more-or-less vanished now.
