Halswell Quarry

This morning we walked up and around the rim of the Hslswell Quarry. This site provided a lot of the stone used in the early buildings in the city. There is a rather attractive coffee cart at the bottom of the track. The view from the top was lovely, looking over the south west of the city and across to the Southern Alps. It was a lovely day with the temperature reaching 18 degrees.
