half and half

revelling in the novelty of a full weekend these past two weeks. Tomorrow I'll be stepping up a notch after a week of training. I'm working as a chef in a childcare centre. It started out as a kitchen assistant job but somehow seems to have morphed into a bigger job. 
Got to meet some of the kids in a novel manner when we had an evacuation emergency, due to a malfunctioning fire alarm. Reassuring frightened tiny tots wasn't what I thought I'd be doing in my first week!
All's well that ends well thank goodness.
