Internals of the control box for a display to be used by the local mental health charity, Befrienders Highland. They wanted something to use at events to try and raise awareness of the charity, its activities and encourage more people to help by becoming befrienders.
Designed and made it to operate a whole load of different coloured LEDs on a basic map of the Highlands & Islands, with the colour and placement of the LEDs indicating where all the befrienders and/or befriended people were roughly located around the area (all over). It could either be operated manually, or switched to different automatic modes. Something interactive with flashing lights to hopefully attract some interest. As ever, also used the circuit design as a teaching aid for one of the engineering higher education courses.
