SAIL AWAY, SAIL AWAY, SAIL AWAY
Our usual Sunday trip to see Mum today. Went through rain showers and a bit of sun but not too bad and the traffic was good.
We had a good catch up, sorted out a few things for her. Then my brother and his partner arrived so we had a good chat with them.
By now the sun was shining and it was lovely and warm. We stopped off on The Prom for me to take some photos. It was very breezy along the prom but still very pleasant.
It was busy but not overly so and it was great to see people sailing, swimming, paddling, cycling, surfing along the edge of the shore by a couple of young boys who were having a great time.
As we got to Carnforth the tail back of traffic was quite long and very slow, so we scooted up past Carnforth Station and drove round the country roads through the Yealands (Redmayne and Conyers) to rejoin the A6 near Cinderbarrow and then on home.
A pleasant drive and the traffic not too bad on that last section of the A6 and A590.
That's all for now, do take care and stay safe as always.
