Heat

Daftie and I went out early this morning - just after 7am - to avoid the heat. We are currently sweltering in temperatures of mid-to-high 30s. We got about a hundred meters when two distant gunshots totally freaked him. He refused to go anywhere but home. So we went back and had breakfast. By the time he had calmed down and we set off once more on our walk, it was 9am and already 23 degrees and climbing. An hour later we staggered home in full sun, perspiring freely. I would happily murder whoever was responsible for the gunshots.
