Mission accomplished ...

... the final stretch from Pateley Bridge, through the dales and over the moors to Hexham - 1491 miles - half the distance covered in Norway but in a third of the time.  The trusty BMW is now overdue a service and needs new tyres (somewhat squared off after miles and miles of motorway riding/crawling/filtering). A superb experience with Len, who organised the whole trip.
