Arts and urbex
3/5 of our AAH-collective did a trip to Savonlinna today, in purpose to visit in two great photo exhibitions. Ari Jaskari's Sweet Home and Kaisu Häkkänen's Boreal Civilizations. The first was very nice collection of Ari's family life related b&w photos from the 80's and the second exhibition was pinhole camera photos flavoured with poets of Tero Mustonen and electronic soundscape by Juhana Nyrhinen. Key themes of the exhibition are nature relationship, forest traditions and human’s century old being at boreal zone.
My blip is from Restaurant-Café Saima, where is now presented our One Eye Collective's photo exhibition "Feel The Forest". This is the same exhibition that I blipped on July. We also enjoyed a tasty lunch there, before heading back to Lappeenranta.
On the way we stopped few times to explore two abandoned holiday villages in the countryside. Three photos from those places in extras.
After the trip I hosted a geocacher's meet in the evening, so this Saturday was filled with activities I love.
