It's been a very long time since we played El Grande - one of our very few 'area control' (i.e. explicit conflict) games that we have.

Five of us playing and it was a close run thing between three of us.  Despite leading for a lot of the game, a failed gamble on the last turn put me in 3rd place.  Serves me right.

That distinctive piece is the King. Err, yeah.
