Eyes Wide Shut

Apart from seagulls and crows I haven't seen many birds so I was pleased when this chick and two companions stayed still for a few seconds. Merlin photo id tells me it's a house sparrow, but I could be persuaded otherwise.

A warm sunny day for our walk along the seashore. I was pleased when the path turned inland to escape the stiff breeze. Earlier a castle tour by two enterprising Americans, quite a surprise, but not particularly photo worthy. I did learn a new term though - oubliette.
