Water Lily
This morning, we went food shopping in Northwood. We were back in time to watch the second half of the World Cup Final. While I don't really have an interest in football, I thought this might be a historic match for England's women's team and worth seeing. It was a lively game, but the Spaniards seemed better organised and duly won. Well done, Spain. However, the English goalkeeper did an excellent job in preventing them from scoring more than one goal.
Meanwhile, Martin tidied up the garden pond to reveal the water lily flowers.
This afternoon, my mum's old neighbours popped in for coffee. They keep an eye on her house for us. Then we did some housework and listened to the Prom: Ligeti's Concert Romanesc and Violin Concerto followed by Mozart's Piano Concerto and Symphony no 41.
Feeling excited because my sister A and her husband P are now in Tokyo and will be flying on to London tomorrow.
