Leaded glass
This has been a sad day, and R and I are both heart-sore.
R has chosen this image, because he likes the way the light catches dragonfly wings and makes them resemble leaded glass. I took it at Croome this afternoon, where this was the only Migrant Hawker in the island reed channel - which I know because he has a hole in his abdomen, and I was able to spot it in all the photos I took. I think there may also have been some immature specimens in one of the shrubberies, though I can't be certain because they were flying with the light behind them.
This evening we re-watched The Dig, which has become one of my favourite films.
