Tall Ships - 4th And Final Day
The Tall Ships extra day alongside due to bad weather gave them a breather before heading off on their next leg. Not open to visitors the crews had the opportunity for a some rough weather preparations on top of the normal pre-sea checks.
I took the opportunity to spend the morning with Joshua and Tiana, a cooked breakfast that neither of the travellers really enjoyed and then the packing and the long goodbye. They headed off at midday and I headed down for my last ‘shift’ with the Tall Ships.
Wet and windy, getting progressively wetter and windier as the day wore on, there seemed little point in loitering around the Liasion Officers ‘garage’ office. The ships were secured for wet weather, no visitors, not many people about anywhere really just a few forlorn private security people standing in the pouring rain for no apparent reason.
Home for a spot of housework before once again heading down for a beer or three at the Liasion Officers end of ‘visit’ drinks. A little surprised when the pub called “Last Orders” at 8:30pm I took the hint and went home.
A quiet house, the reduction from five adults + two dogs to two adults + one dog (Mrs S is working) made for a quiet house.
