Heads down

We did not reschedule our church service this morning. We still had time to catch the end of the first half of the World Cup Final if we hurried.

By then we knew England were trailing Spain. Despite all encouragement it was not to be.

These roses summed up the mood of disappointment here for me in Scotland. It will have been so much more intense south of the border, especially after all the wall to wall hype.

So, sorry for the England supporters but Spain won out on the day.
