Whale

We walked to Boulder Beach this afternoon, where this whale entertained us, doing spectacular leaps out of the water. A small crowd of people gathered at Rocky Point Headland to enjoy the spectacle - extra. 

The whale migration season started here at the end of May, as they headed north from Antarctica to give birth in the warm waters of the Great Barrier Reef. They are now on the return journey south. We'll have their company for another month or so.
