One of the largest containter ports in Europe, the Southampton Container Port sits almost empty today awaiting the arrival of the next large ship. The deep water channel up Southampton Water means this port can handle even the largest of container ships. Including the massive Ever Given, the one that temporarily blocked the Suez Canal.
