West Dean Steps

Afternoon long run, a very slow 20 miles on the South Downs. 
These steps have recently been restored, they are far more uniform than they were. 
Before the restoration there was around 220; I didn't count the new ones, but I'd guess it's a similar amount. 

They appear at around 18 miles on the Beachy Head Marathon and mark the beginning of the tough stuff.
