How a park should be
Lovely stroll through the evening sunshine in Battersea Park. This was a quiet corner, but there were loads of people playing football and cricket, having a picnic, or just sitting talking.
I thought of the people in Istanbul, whose government are threatening to sell one of their last remaining pieces of green space to build a shopping mall, and felt immensely thankful that it surely couldn't happen here.
