The heath.

The winter came with "a bang" on September the 12th with a heavy snowstorm. The winter was very hard and we haven't had as much snow for many, many years. The last snowstorm was in late May. The summer also came with "a bang", it's been very warm with all the snow melting very rapidly. Many rivers have flood over their banks and we've had several mud slides, damaging roads and trees. This is the view to the heath Vaðlaheiði opposite my hometown. You can see the color of the sea is brown because of the meltwater and a mud slide high in the heath. You can also see a construction site, they are beginning to drill through the heath. It will be a great improvement driving through the tunnel since the road is often closed during winter.
