Surprise!
I had my first venture out in the car really for a bit and decided to go to Ripple lakes. Not to do any serious yomping round it but just to get out and and have a walk with the camera.
In the throes of stalking dragons I looked up to the shoreline and there he was, a stomping sandpiper looking for food; so unusual for this area that I had to blip him.
The damselflies were making the most of the warm and drier weather today and were getting frisky on the Reeds. Frisky blue-tailed damsels and common blues in the Extra. Then we have Dracula the red-eyed damselfly looking particularly red-eyed as you would expect followed by a nimbly landing common darter who was no surprise and all.
