A mermaid on the beach

Another lovely day in Alderney. Overcast in the morning but by noon the sun came out and we went to the beach in the afternoon.

I was aiming to take a photo of a third postbox topper…of Harry Potter characters, which I spotted yesterday . But it seems to have gone today. I hope it has not been stolen, it was the one nearest the harbour where lots of visitors come each day in their own boats .There are only three big postboxes hitch could have toppers, all the others are smaller and in walls.

Lots of playing on the beach…instead of a sandcastle we made this mermaid! The sea was quite warm too.
